Please enjoy these photos of our “last show” at Fitzgerald’s on August 23, 2002 (courtesy of Ryan Gabbart). We thought we were done for good, but it turned out to be just a five-year break.
(If you feel like some weird A.I. things have been done to certain faces, you’re 100% right—the original images were very small.)
The Suspects haven’t played since the April 2024 Fitzgerald’s Reunion Show at Embassy Outpost, and you haven’t heard much from us since then. Chris and his wife moved to the East Coast just before the April show, and plans for him to fly down for an occasional performance haven’t worked out. We’ve also gone through the motions of considering a new singer, getting Chris’s blessing on the idea, and then abandoning it altogether. We’ve decided there are only two people who can sing for The Suspects, and that’s likely the end of the conversation.
So, are The Suspects done? We thought we were done 23 years ago, so we can’t really say for sure. Our next “last show” could be just a plane ticket away.
